I got out in 92. With the RIF (reduction in force) going on there were'nt any "contract jobs" for an E-4. The big boys were fighting for all those. I got a job making aluminium cans for Coke, Pepsi, etc. Been doing that for the past 15 years. Th company closed our plant in July, so I'm going back to school. For those of you getting out, you got it pretty good now. There are quite a few jobs out there in our career field (unlike 17 years ago) and there are plenty of education options out there for you troops now.
